City of Boston removes the requirement to list gender or sexual identity on marriage licenses.

Boston joins several states, including California New York, and Washington, in making the change. Kimberly Rhoten, an employee of the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizens, is the fist person to receive the new gender-neutral license.
